KA - BOOM

Weather guy said last night to be ready, and all day long with  " it's coming!  ", but really, we were not expecting all of this! VERY minor damage here in Mendon , but some really nasty stuff all around us. Little Honeoye Falls was , from that the tv told us, hit hard, Ill ride over in the morning and see.
We lost this BIG limb out of one of our giant maples. Really, its huge. It was such a nothing storm, or at least started out that way - just some far off thunder and light rain - then seriously, no more than two minutes of pure white out, crazy shifting wind gusts- could not see anything out of the window except white and the fierce winds. Neil said he felt the house move - I dont think he did. And then gone - really, storm over , I have never seen anything like this, at all. I think it really was what they call a micro burst - just out of nowhere, SUDDEN and FAST and powerful.

These are down the trail where one very tall, very old black walnut just split in half. We were lucky, from the 11 oclock news some areas down here were much harder hit. Some town up towards the lake had just a long row of powerlines just blown down, all in a row. Tens of thousands down have power tonight, we never lost ours
Across in the park - just limb damage here, we were lucky
Koda was very brave.
