THE POLLS

Another most fun weekend of college football - I was not as glued as I like to be , but did see most. All eyes, for the first time ever, have turned to the Magnolia State, as the little bulldogs that could and their Heisman bound qb rise to the top - making Starkville, Mississippi the place to be.....
This week going with the AP poll, because OUR Bulldogs ( dawgs ) are #10 in both.
  1. MISSISSIPPI STATE
  2. Florida State
  3. OLE MISS
  4. Baylor
  5. Notre Dame
  6. AUBURN
  7. ALABAMA
  8. Michigan State
  9. Oregon
  10. GEORGIA
  11. Oklahoma
  12. TCU
  13. Ohio State
  14. Kansas State
  15. Oklahoma State
  16. Arizona
  17. Arizona State
  18. East Carolina
  19. Nebraska
  20. Utah
  21. TEXAS A&M
  22. USC
  23. Stanford
  24. Clemson
  25. Marshall
What jumps out at you first is that the SEC has a full half of the top 10 teams, with only UGA representing the SEC EAST. Which does not really bode well for UGA down the line rising in the polls , Auburn is the only ranked team that we will face.

The Mississippi Bulldogs are off this coming week, playing Kentucky next on 10/25. Then Arkansas who held their own the those Dynastic Elephants of Alabama this weekend , then their homecoming against Winder Barrow High School. On Nov 15 Miss State rolls into Tuscaloosa and they should be doing it as the #1 team in the land and undefeated. IF they can leave there record in tact all that is left for them is Vandy and the Egg Bowl.

The #5 Fighting Irish go down to Tallahassee this weekend to face the #2 Seminoles. ( 8pm ABC ) Everyone wear green for that one. The overall weakness of the ACC could mean were FSU to win they could drop a good long way in the polls.
Ole Miss is coming into the terror part of their season with Tenn, LSU and Auburn in the coming three weeks . AU is in Oxford, that should be a BIG game.
Baylor has three ranked teams left this season .
